Born in Wichita, Kansas. I joined the US Army in 1989 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2017. During my military career, I served five Presidents, had three combat deployments, and was stationed across the country as well as several years in South Korea and Japan. Following my military career,
I became a civil servant with the US Coast Guard and am currently a senior Information Technology Manager supporting Coast Guard Intelligence operations. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University. My wife, the former Armalinda Cervantes, and I have been happily married for the past 22 years. We have three children, seven grandkids, and three cats.
